Meet Mel Hertz

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to tell stories.

Then life happened. I built a career, carried responsibilities, and put my writing dreams aside. But that voice never truly left. It waited quietly until I was ready to listen.

At fifty-seven, I published my debut novel, Still Here. What began as a dream of writing heartfelt sapphic romances soon grew into romantic comedies, original narrated short stories on my YouTube channel, Mel Hertz Stories, and music through two AI-created virtual artists, Nina V. Ellis and AURA-5.

Publishing my first book taught me that new beginnings don't come with an expiration date.

Coffee is usually nearby, K-dramas are never too far down my watchlist, and I proudly root for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Wings. When I'm not creating, I love quiet time, a good book, and every chance I get to spend time with my wife.

Havenridge will always have a special place in my heart, but there are many more stories and worlds waiting to be explored.
